Room With a View
Two broken windows behind a rusty radiator in a beige room on the top floor of a Kirkbride State Hospital in New York. Small pieces of glass are strewn across the floor, refracting specs of light upon the ceiling.
For me, this image symbolizes a broken view upon the world we live in, which relates to insanity. The glass is the filter we view the world through, which is shattered upon the floor.
What does this image say to you?

I love this photo & love your thoughts on this image….
for me personally it represents a sense of HOPE!
The broken window represents power to break free from confinement to not be ruled a sense of control even if trapped inside/within….. the reflective glass dancing upon the ceiling & lying still on the floor symbolizes the pieces of ones lifes the old life left broken on the floor with the pieces of a new life reflecting tranquilly down upon you…. the rusty radiator is merely just that a little rusty but still gives off heat ( as in you maybe be a lil rusty but youre still alive inside). The windows themselves are like eyes fixated on the prize!!! The beautiful scenic view like a painting…. you can see it… you can smell it…. you can feel it….. & soon you will be able to be part of it … on the outside looking inside !! The one thing maybe that keeps one going day after day trapped inside the insanity of confinement….
Thank you for sharing this !!
