This weekend we met up with some fellow explorers who had just flown in from southern California and we all spent the day shooting in the New England region. The leaves have just begun to change their color to yellow and orange and the ivy growing on the windows has turned red amongst the crisp, breezy autumn air.
Opened in October of 1904 until its consolidation in October of 1996, this self-sufficient psychiatric hospital remained open for ninety-two years and consisted of thirty tunnel-connected buildings on nine-hundred acres of land. This location is listed on the state and national historic register as a place of architectural and historical significance.
